3x3 Basketball – Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament
The women’s 3x3 basketball team, the Gangurrus, are headed to Utsunomiya, Japan to compete in the Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament from today Friday 3 May to Sunday 5 May.
The four-time Asia Cup winners and bronze medallists at the recent 2023 World Cup are hoping to secure their spot at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and must win the eight-team tournament to confirm their spot.
The Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2 consists of eight teams split into two pools. Australia will play their round games against Canada, Netherlands, and Kenya.

Athletics – World Relay Championships
Twenty-two track and field athletes are competing for Paris 2024 quota spots in the Bahamas as part of the World Relay Championships starting tomorrow Saturday 4 May to Sunday 5 May.
Australia is competing in the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
The top 14 nations in each of the relay events will earn a Paris 2024 quota for their country.

Rugby 7s – SVNS World Series Singapore
The seventh and penultimate round of the Rugby SVNS World Series continues in Singapore from today Friday 3 to Sunday 5 May.
The women’s team is currently tied in first position alongside New Zealand on a total of 106 points, whilst the men’s team is sitting in sixth position with 69 points.
The women’s team will play against Brazil in the opening match on Friday at 2:50pm AEST, whilst the men’s team will take the field against the top ranked Argentinian side at 4:42pm AEST on Friday.

Artistic Swimming – World Cup 2
Following a three-medal performance at World Cup 1 in Doha, Qatar, the Australian Artistic Swimming Team will continue their World Cup campaign in Paris, France for the second leg of the competition.
The competition runs live from today Friday 3 May until Sunday 5 May, with Aussies competing in the team acrobat, technical and free events, and the women’s duet free and technical events.

Shooting – ISSF Rifle, Pistol & Shotgun World Cup
Eleven of Australia’s top shooters have started competing in the ISSF World Cup which goes through to Sunday 12 May in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Sailing – 470 European Championships
Three Australian sailing teams are competing in the mixed 470 European Championships in Cannes, France from Saturday 4 May to Sunday 12 May.
Paris 2024 Australian Olympic Team duo Nia Jerwood and Conor Nicholas will spearhead the event, followed by Sophie and James Jackson and Ashlee and Brayden Daunt.
