Ice sport stars meet in Sydney

Australia’s leading ice sports athletes - including short track dual World Cup winner Tatiana Borodulina and world championship top five skeleton slider Emma Lincoln-Smith – will trade frozen northern hemisphere venues for bayside Brighton Beach in Sydney on Thursday evening. As well as other team members from short track and skeleton, athletes from bobsleigh, curling, figure skating and luge will also gather at the Novotel Brighton Beach for the inaugural Australian Ice Sport Awards.

Australia’s leading ice sports athletes - including short track dual World Cup winner Tatiana Borodulina and world championship top five skeleton slider Emma Lincoln-Smith – will trade frozen northern hemisphere venues for bayside Brighton Beach in Sydney on Thursday evening.

As well as other team members from short track and skeleton, athletes from bobsleigh, curling, figure skating and luge will also gather at the Novotel Brighton Beach for the inaugural Australian Ice Sport Awards.

The cocktail party evening will celebrate the growing strength of the nation’s ice sport teams, with the Australian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation, the Australian Curling Federation, Australian Ice Racing, and Ice Skating Australia announcing their respective Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Junior Athlete of the Year and Outstanding Achievement awards.
