Repetition is a part of every dedicated athlete’s Olympic campaign – so with six months to go, take a look at what these Aussies have ahead of them…
In six months:
Steph Magiros (snowboard) will flip upside down 3,350 times, do 2,500 halfpipe runs, 2,250 chin-ups and 1,300 bench presses
Daniel Greig (speed skating) will skate 2,080kms, do 468 sprints, spend 7,280 mins stretching, spend about 2,912 hours thinking about the Olympics, and drink 0 beers
Ashley Cooney (luge) will do 156 hours of weights, run 390kms, eat 364 pieces of vegemite toast and walk nearly 2km on her hands in a gymnastics handstand
David Morris (aerials) will do 4340 twists and 3510 flips, drink 180 litres of milk and take 25 different flights around the world
Jenny Owens (ski cross) will do 1,950 ski runs and eat her way through 4 jars of vegemite
John Farrow (skeleton) will do 1,040 block starts and 78 hours of yoga
Britt Cox (moguls) will do 500 runs on a moguls course, sit on an airplane for 165 hours (not including time in the airport) and do 30 'Brassards' (high intensity lactate sessions) which equates to 180 mins or 3 hours of pure burn!
