ISU Championship judge Joe Inman will lead a Presentation Mark and New Judging System Seminar in Sydney at the end of September, a vital opportunity for athletes and coaches to learn more about the implications of the new system.
Although the seminar is aimed primarily at Singles and Pairs, there is a music component to the seminar that would be of benefit to all disciplines. Part of the Presentation Components apply to dance as well as singles and pairs.
Mr Inman, well known to many international judges in Australia, has written a considerable portion of the Presentation Components of the New Judging System, and trains judges in the New Judging System for the ISU. He regularly gives seminars for the ISU on the Presentation Mark. He is considered an expert in these areas, and we are most fortunate in being able to have him over here in Australia.
The seminar will be held on Monday and Tuesday September 27 and 28 at Sports House in Ultimo, Sydney (Wattle Street, Ultimo, Sydney, Room 209).
All Senior and Junior skaters should attend, as well as coaches with Senior and Junior skaters, and Senior and Junior level judges. Others are also welcome. (The seminar falls inside the school holidays for all Australian states and territories except Tasmania).
The seminar will be hosted by NSWISA, and as such, no seminar fee will be payable by NSWISA members. Details on fees for non-NSWISA members are yet to be finalised.
Please contact your state secretaries if you would like to attend. State secretaries in turn should inform Alan Blinn of anticipated numbers by August 20. Coaches may contact also contact Alan Blinn directly or APSA.
