In the opening event of the series Skate America in Reading, Pennsylvania, from October 22-26, the Australian champion will be competing against 2003 Grand Prix Champion Sasha Cohen of the United States and multiple world champion Michelle Kwan, also of the United States.
Former world junior champion and number four at the 2004 world championships, Japanese skater Miko Ando, will also be in the 12-woman field.
In the NHK Trophy, to be held in Asahikawa from November 26-30, Ando will again be in line-up , this time alongside team-mate and reigning world champion Shizuka Arakawa.
The invitations give Manzano an invaluable opportunity to gain experience at the highest level, and test herself against the world’s best skaters.
