AOC: Australia’s leading media intelligence company, iSentia, today announced it will renew its partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) to support Australian athletes through to the Rio Olympic Games.
Following a successful partnership with the Australian Olympic Team at the London 2012 Olympic Games, iSentia will again be waving the green and gold as official supporter and is delighted to be supporting the Team at the world’s biggest sporting event in 2014, the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
iSentia supplies the AOC with up to the minute analysis of the Australian Team’s media coverage and provides our athletes with the latest news from home during the games. It also supplies the AOC with specialist social media intelligence through its BuzzNumbers service.
iSentia will also be assisting the AOC by creating a Newsboost portal for the AOC to be made available for AOC media and agreed executives together with journalists using the service, providing the AOC with a dedicated online digital newsroom.
iSentia CEO John Croll said he was thrilled with the continued alignment: “Our staff are thrilled to be contributing to these unrivalled sporting events and to the success of the Australian Olympic team. As market leaders we share the goals of every athlete in constantly striving to improve, whatever the conditions and whatever the competition. We are continually inspired by their achievements and try to bring these elements into our own service.”
AOC president John Coates said sponsorships such as iSentia’s makes it possible for our Australian athletes to achieve their lifelong goals and hopefully Olympic Games success. He said, “Our Australian athletes are incredibly grateful for iSentia’s generous support. The media plays a key role at Games time, our athletes follow what is being reported in print, radio, television and particularly on social media platforms and having the support of such a professional group at iSentia is of great benefit to the athletes and the AOC.”
