Lee produces pb in Junior Grand Prix

Cheltzie Lee has bounced back from her Nebelhorn Trophy result to record a personal best short program at a Junior Grand Prix in Dresden, Germany.

Lee posted a score of 45.87 points, just under two points better than her previous best short program mark of 43.96, to finish in fifth position going into tonight’s free program.

The result was particularly impressive, given that the Sydney 16-year-old  was only the third girl on the ice in a large field of 33 skaters.

US skater Kiri Baga topped the table with 56.27 points, well clear of second placed Polina Agafonova of Russia.

In the Junior Men’s event, Brendan Kerry was lying in 25th place on 31.19 points after the short program.
