Cheltzie Lee has slipped back two places to finish in seventh position in the Junior Grand Prix in Dresden, Germany. Lee posted a personal best score of 45.87 points for fifth place after the short program, but could only manage seventh in her free program for seventh overall.

The Sydney 16-year-old received 71.13 points on her free skate for 117.00 overall.

“I’m disappointed that it was well below my personal best today,” Lee said.

 “But on the other hand I feel that I’ve achieved some good things on this trip as it was my first time doing back to back comps and the experience will only help me grow for the future.”

US skater Kiri Baga won the event with a total of 144.68 points, more than eight points clear of her compatriot Angela Maxwell on 136.15.

Russia’s Polina Agafonova collected the bronze medal with 127.82 points.

In the Junior Men’s event, Brendan Kerry was lying in 25th place on 31.19 points after the short program.
