Fresh off his silver medal win in the team's event, Wagga Wagga youngster Tom McDermott will be looking to make solid foundations in the individual equestrian, commencing at 9.30am at the Singapore Turf Club.

The Australian basketball team has set up a mouth watering semi final clash with team USA at Scape Youth Space. The team put in an outstanding performance as they toppled the Brazilians 23-20 to advance to the final four.

On the track, seven athletes contest their respective A and B finals on Sunday looking to continue the success from the previous day. For 10,000m walker Blake Steele it is his first time on the competition track as his 25-lap event is a straight final at 7.05pm. The 17-year-old has been getting more comfortable in the hot and humid conditions each day after the initial shock after a cold Adelaide winter. Damien Birkinhead is a medal chance in the shot put final at 8.30pm.

In the morning finals session Monica Brennan is the other A finalist in the 200m final at 10.50am. Elliot Lang who threw a big PB in qualifying will look to take out the javelin B final at 9am, Prabhjot Rai is in the shot put B Final at 9.05am, Kurt Jenner long jumps in the B final at 10am. Rick Whitehead will also look to lower his recent PB from the 1000m heat in the B final at 10.05.

The artistic gymnastics program concludes on Sunday evening with the remaining apparatus finals for boys and girls. Angela Donald will compete in the beam final at 6.50pm and Brody-Jai Hennessy the horizontal bar at 8.55pm. Donald is likely to increase the difficulty of her dismount for her final routine. Both Australians will be looking to finish their successful Youth Olympic Games with improved scores from their All Around competitions.

After not getting a race in today, Australia's sailors Madison Kennedy and Mark Spearman will be hoping to get back on the water tomorrow as they look to push into the top ten.

The medals will be decided in the cycling when the teams event wraps up tomorrow with the Aussies needing a stellar performance to push up into the top few positions. Kirsten Dellar will compete in her last of three events, the time trial, while Matt Dunsworth, Jay McCarthy and Michael Baker will all be on the Singapore streets for the road race.

Modern Pentathlon also gets underway with Todd Renfree contesting the individual event, comprised of fencing, swimming and a combined run/shoot.

After advancing through to the second round by way of a bye, Australian boxer Brett Mather faces an unknown Mexican boxer Daniel Echeverria at 2pm. A loss will send Mather to the playoff for the bronze medal while a win will have him fighting for gold.

At Marina Reservoir the K1 team of Scott Smith and Jessica Fox will be working hard to progress past round five and six of competition. After a long day on the water yesterday, the pair will be hoping to cement themselves in the race for medals.
