PYEONGCHANG 2018: One of the most highly anticipated events of the 2018 Games will dominate Phoenix Snow Park today when the men’s snowboard halfpipe goes down.
Plus Harley Windsor will become Australia’s first Indigenous Winter Olympian when he takes to the ice with Katia at Gangneung Ice Arena.

Snowboard halfpipe
Current World Champion Scotty James and his fellow Sochi 2014 teammate Kent Callister will wave the Aussie flag in the men’s snowboard halfpipe finals today. 23-year-old James qualified for the finals in second place with a top score of 96.75 in the qualifications, behind snowboard legend Shaun White’s top score of 98.50. Callister qualified for the final in 12th place and will be aiming to better his Sochi result of 8th. It all starts at 10.30am (12.30pm AEDT). Catch up on the results from qualification HERE.
Alpine Skiing
Sochi Olympian Greta Small will contest her first event of the 2018 Games today when she ventures to Yongpyong Alpine Centre for the Ladies Slalom. Kicking off at 10.15am (12.15pm AEDT), Small will be aiming to better her 31st result from 2014.
Figure Skating
Australia’s famous pairs duo of Harley Windsor and Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya take to the ice for the first time today in the Pairs Short Program. The session at Gangneung Ice Arena starts at 10am local time, with the Aussies scheduled to go second on the start list. Read more HERE.

Olympic rookie Emily Arthur lined up for the women’s snowboard halfpipe final yesterday, finishing a very impressive 11th place on debut. Arthur put down a clean opening run, scoring 48.25, however was unable to cleanly land her remaining two runs, securing her the 11th place finish. Read more HERE.
Following the women, the large field of 29 athletes put down their best runs in the men’s snowboard halfpipe qualifications. While Scotty James and Kent Callister advanced to today’s final, Sochi Olympian Nate Johnston missed out on a finals birth, finishing in 22nd place with a best run of 62.25. Read more HERE.
Four Aussies lined up in Sprint events at Alpensia Cross Country Centre. Needing to get into the top 30 to move through the time trial based qualifications and into the quarter-finals, Phil Bellingham finished 66th in the men's event while Jess Yeaton, Aimee Watson and Casey Wright finished 48th, 58th and 63rd in the women's competition.
