Oatley sets new Australian record in Sweden
Lyndal Oatley and her London Olympic mount Sandro Boy have set a new Australian record in Sweden.

EQUESTRIAN: An in-form dressage rider Lyndal Oatley and her London Olympic mount Sandro Boy have set a new Australian record at the Sweden International Horse Trials CDI-W Grand Prix.

On their way to a top five finish the pair received a score of 72.800% in the Grand Prix which eclipses Oatley's previous personal best of 72.680% which came at the 2014 Deauville CDI3*.

It is also the highest Grand Prix score attained by an Australian combination.

Just last month the two time World Equestrian Games representative and London Olympian partnered with Sandro Boy and scored 71.740% in the Kaposvar Grand Prix CDI-W.

A delighted Oatley took to Facebook to express her joy.

"What a day. Overwhelmed by all the well wishes and support! Nissa (Sandro Boy) was a star, (I'm) so proud - a personal best and an Aussie record."
