Astrid Loch-Wilkinson competes in the Konigssee World Cup on Friday (Jan 13) with brakewoman Kylie Reed, with an Olympic qualifying result on the line.

Loch-Wilkinson currently sits in 15th place )Oympic adjusted) on the World Cup standings, and if she can maintain that ranking with the Konigssee race, she will qualify for Torino 2006.

The Sydney 23-year-old competed by invitation in the British Bobsleigh Championships in Igls, Austria, last weekend with reserve brakewoman Mieke Boynton, placing a narrow second to Nicola Minichiello, the British Champion who was the silver medallist at last year's World Championship in Calgary.
