Jenny Owens was the best of Australia’s ski cross athletes at the FIS Freestyle Ski Championships last week, finishing in 15th place.
The 31-year-old AIS/NSWIS skier qualified in 16th place, then won her round of 32 head to head final.
But in the quarter-finals she went down halfway through the course, ultimately taking 15th overall.
Ski and Snowboard Australia’s Katya Crema, competing in just her third event since returning from injury, finished in 26th place, while Scott Kneller also qualified through to the finals, finishing in 30th place after going out in his round of 32 finals encounter.
All three will compete in two World Cup events coming up later this week in the Swiss resorts of Grindewald and Meiringen-Hasliberg.
