Skiing Australia/NSWIS skier Jenny Owens has finished in 45th place in the opening downhill of a three event weekend in Lake Louise, Canada.

Skiing Australia/NSWIS skier Jenny Owens has finished in 45th place in the opening downhill of a three event weekend in Lake Louise, Canada.
The Sydney skier clocked 1 minute 36.77 seconds to finished 2.74 seconds behind Salt Lake gold medallist Carole Montillet of France.
Hilde Gerg of Germany took the silver with Kirsten Clark of the US in third place. Montillet’s only other World Cup win came a year ago at the same venue, and she also has two other podium results from the resort.
Another downhill is scheduled for tomorrow, with a super G on Monday morning AEST.
