Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin has produced the best Australian result at the snowboard cross World Cup in Telluride, finishing in 15th place. Pullin qualified in 25th position, then won his round of 32 finals encounter before being eliminated in the quarter-final round of the Colorado event.

Pullin qualified in 25th position, then won his round of 32 finals encounter before being eliminated in the quarter-final round of the Colorado event.

Fellow AIS/OWI scholarship holder Damon Hayler qualified five places higher in 20th position, but went out in the round of 32.

French rider Peirre Vaultier collected the gold medal.

Ski & Snowboard Australia rider Stephanie Hickey placed 25th in the women’s event, which was won by Canadian Maelle Ricker.
