Bright fell on her opening McTwist trick in the first run, then went down again on the same trick further into her second run.
Her highest score of the two runs was 21.2 points, well short of the top qualifying mark of 47.5 points set by American rider Hannah Teter.
Bright, number two in the world last year, ended the event in 30th place.
French rider Doriane Vidal took the title with a best run marked at 45.7 points. Manuela Pesko of Switzerland was second on 43.4 points with Teter third on 35.8 points
Australia’s men also failed to qualify for the final, Andrew Burton doing best with 19th place on 37.1 points.
Ben Mates finished in 28th place and Mitch Allan in 36th.
The men’s event was won by Finland’s Antti Autti from Justin Lamoureux of Canada and Norwegian Kim Christiansen.
