The Aussie Sharks are primed for their first game of the Paris Olympic Games against Spain on Sunday 28 July at 6:30pm AEST.

The game will kick start the Aussie Sharks campaign, who will also play Serbia, Hungary, Japan and France in the group stage.

Aussie Sharks co-captain Nathan Power said his team are looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead against reigning World Championship bronze medalists Spain.

“We are at a point now where we want to get in there and play,” Nathan said.

“We have had a long tour building up to this moment, and everyone in the team is ready to jump in and make Australia proud.

“Spain has been playing some of the best water polo of any nation this Olympic cycle. They play a strong, well rounded team game.

“Like any initial game, this matchup gives us the opportunity to set a strong tone for our campaign, showing to the world the style of play we want to bring to the games and putting the other teams on notice,” he said.
