Torino aspirant Shaun Boyle has continued his quest for Olympic qualifying results, placing 31st in the skeleton World Cup in Igls, Austria.

Torino aspirant Shaun Boyle has continued his quest for Olympic qualifying results, placing 31st in the skeleton World Cup in Igls, Austria.

Boyle finished 1.78 seconds behind race winner Gregor Staehli, the German racking up his second victory of the first opening three races of the season.

Boyle's team-mate Urs Vescoli, sliding under the Australian flag on World Cup, but in ineligible to represent Australia at the Games, finished one plave higher than Boyle, 1.48 seconds behind the race winner.

The Australian women sliders will compete overnight.
