CJ Bruton is one of three players added to the Boomers squad for their final camp ahead of the FIBA World Championships next month.

Bruton will be joined by previously injured squad members Mark Worthington and Daniel Kickert as well as the team of 12 that recently played New Zealand in the four match Test Series.

The 15 athletes will train at the Gold Coast’s Southport School in Winchester Street, Southport Queensland from Friday afternoon through to midday on Wednesday, August 2.

The 12-man Boomers team for the FIBA World Championships will be announced soon after the camp.

Australia’s schedule for the lead up to the Championships, which tip off on August 19 in Hamamatsu, has yet to be finalised, with the Boomers leaving Australia on August 7 or 8, bound first for China and the Boris Stankovic Cup.

Basketball Australia officials are still hopeful of securing two further friendlies in China.

Boomers squad: Chris Anstey, David Barlow, Andrew Bogut, Aaron Bruce, CJ Bruton, Wade Helliwell, Russell Hinder, Luke Kendall, Daniel Kickert, Sam Mackinnon, Aleks Maric, Steve Markovic, Brad Newley, Jason Smith, Mark Worthington.
