RUGBY SEVENS: Australian speedster, Emma Tonegato will make her return from an elbow injury at the Las Vegas Sevens (March 3-4), in the only change to the squad that came fourth at the HSBC Sydney 7s earlier this month.

The Qantas Australian Women’s Sevens team are looking to bounce back after the Sydney 7s, with the side aiming to defend their HSBC Women’s Sevens World Series title.

The Las Vegas tournament is the third leg out of six on the Women’s World Series with Australia currently sitting in second position (32 points), just behind New Zealand (36 points) while Canada (30 points) round out the top three.

Qantas Australian Women’s Head Coach, Tim Walsh said: “Las Vegas is a new venue for the Women’s Series and another step towards a joint Men’s and Women’s series.

"Las Vegas gives us another opportunity to cement our position at the top end of the table and compete for the World Series title again.

"It is great to have Emma return to the team, she adds value and a wealth of experience on and off the field. Our team focus remains 'process driven and performance based' and game one in Vegas is at the forefront of our minds."

Australia have been drawn in Pool C alongside New Zealand, Brazil and England.
