OWI riders Hannah Trigger and Holly Crawford took the quinella in the National Snowboard Halfpipe Championships in Perisher Blue on Monday.

OWI riders Hannah Trigger and Holly Crawford took the quinella in the National Snowboard Halfpipe Championships in Perisher Blue on Monday.

Trigger out-rode her more experienced team-mate to collect her firt national crown with a best score of 24.00 points, while Crawford secured the silver on 23.00 points.

Junior rider Lauren Staveley took the bronze.

In the men’s event, OWI athlete Nathan Johnstone finished second to Torino Olympian Ben Mates, Mates scoring 26.50 points for the gold against Johnstone’s 24.80.

Bronze went to Mates’ Torino teammate Mitchell Allan on 22.00.

The national ski halfpipe titles were also held in the Perisher Blue halfpipe, the men’s title going to Jindabyne junior Boen Ferguson on 28.30 points, while Daniela Bauer claimed the women’s gold with 17.00 points.
