World Cup short track resumes in Asia | Australian Olympic Committee

The third and fourth legs of the short track World Cup for 2008/09 will be contested over the next two weekends, in Beijing and in the 1998 Olympic Winter Games city of Nagano. In the opening two legs of the season so far, Tatiana Borodulina has skated to four top ten results in four races, while Elliott Shriane has also recorded a pb placing.

OWI short track coach Ann Zhang reports that there are 91 men and 85 women from 29 countries competing and that “it should be a very fast and strong competition”.

“Our team came to Beijing on last Sunday after a good three weeks’ preparation and the athletes are ready to go,” Zhang says.
