Amy's Story

Amy Turner is a New Zealand born rugby union and league player who made the switch to the sevens format for the Rio 2016 Olympics to represent Australia. She played a pivotal role in Australia's gold medal success helping them defeat New Zealand in the final match. Prior to the Olympics Turner had been playing for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League.
