Anthony's Story
Born in Nigeria, Alozie took up athletics after a coach spotted his speed while playing soccer. Having competed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Alozie decided to stay and take up citizenship. He competed in his first World Championships in 2009 before again competing at the 2011 World Championships.
Alozie was selected to compete at his first Olympic Games in London as a part of the 4x100m relay team. The Australian team made it through to the final where they finished sixth (USA DQ in 2015), as the star studded Jamaicans won gold in the world record time of 36.84 seconds.
