Bruce's Story

Charles Bruce Flick was an Australian basketball player who represented Australia at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Born in Newtown, New South Wales, on 17 August 1933, Flick was among the pioneers of Australian basketball during the sport's formative years.

Flick was a member of Australia's first Olympic basketball team, which competed at the Melbourne Games in 1956. He played for New South Wales throughout the 1950s and early 1960s and represented his state at numerous Australian Championships.

A respected leader, Flick captained the New South Wales team in 1962 and was later inducted into the New South Wales Basketball Hall of Fame in recognition of his contribution to the sport.
