Callum's Story

A dominant junior rider who won two team pursuit Junior World Championships in 2013 and 2014, Callum Scotson graduated to the senior ranks in 2015. A year later, and just months out from the Rio Games, Scotson was crucial in Australia’s 2016 World Championship victory in London which he won alongside his brother Miles.

The result helped him secure a spot on his first Olympic Team at just 19. With a team of five splitting the rides at Rio 2016, Scotson sat out the qualification before riding in the first round where Australia defeated Denmark to set up a gold medal clash with Great Britain. While he did not line up in the final, where the British broke the world record on their way to gold, Scotson’s efforts were extremely valuable as he, Jack Bobridge, Michael Hepburn, Sam Welsford and Alex Edmondson took home silver.
