Born in Sydney, Cameron Devlin is a defensive and occasionally central midfielder.
He began his professional football career in the National Premier League for the Western Sydney Wanderers U21 setup. Later crossing over to the Sydney FC U21 squad for two years, where he was then called up to the senior squad, making seven appearances over the 2019-2020 season.
Devlin would decline a stay in Sydney at the end of the 2019 season, moving to New Zealand to play for Wellington Phoenix FC on a two-year deal.
Making over 45 appearances, including two for the reserve squad, Devlin was awarded A-League Player of the Month after a string of outstanding performances filling in for midfielder Alex Rufer.
At the conclusion fo the 2020-21 season, Devlin signed a two-year contract to play for the Newcastle Jets. However, two months later would move overseas to Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) in the Scottish Premiership.
Devlin made his Olympic debut as part of the Australian squad that travelled to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, who although failing to qualify for the knockout stage of the tournament achieved impressive results including a 2-0 victory over Argentina.
In 2022, he received his debut senior cap for the Socceroos in the second of a two-part friendly series against New Zealand. He would also travel as part of the Australian squad competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
