Emma's Story
A product of the Australian Institute of Sport talent identification program, Emma Lincoln-Smith came to the sport of skeleton from a competitive background in surf lifesaving and track and field. Her experience in athletics took her to two Australian Youth Olympic Festivals (2001 and 2003) and she also won bronze at the 2004 Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships in the under 19 beach sprint. At her debut Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, Lincoln-Smith produced four clean runs to finish in eventual 10th place. Lincoln-Smith’s sister Holly is an Australian water polo player.
