Ernest's Story

1889 – 1937

Ernest Hutcheon, from Queensland, competed in the standing high jump at London 1908. He was Australia’s first competitor in a field event at the Olympic Games. He served in World War I.  In the 1920s he played first class cricket for Queensland.
