Frank's Story

Born in 1973, Frank Juric represented Australia in football at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games. A goalkeeper, Juric was 22 when he joined the Australian men’s squad for the Olympic tournament, part of an Olyroos side competing against some of the strongest young teams in world football.

Australia finished 13th in Atlanta after a group campaign that included a 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia but losses to France and Spain. For Juric, selection in that squad placed him among the footballers entrusted with carrying Australia onto one of sport’s biggest stages. His appearance in Atlanta secured his place in Australia’s Olympic football history.
