Frank Springfield, from a prominent Queensland swimming family, competed at London 1908. His best result was fourth, with the teenaged Frank Beaurepaire, Snowy Baker and Theo Tartkover, in the 4 x 200 metres freestyle relay. His sister Mabel was the team chaperone at Amsterdam 1928.
