Jane's Story
Born in 1969, Jane Robinson represented Australia in rowing at three Olympic Games across three different boat classes. Robinson was 26 at Atlanta 1996, 30 at Sydney 2000 and 34 at Athens 2004, a span that reflected both her versatility and her staying power at the highest level.
Robinson first competed in the women’s quadruple sculls at Atlanta, where Australia finished ninth. Four years later, she was part of the women’s eight that reached the A final and placed fifth in Sydney. At Athens, she returned in the women’s double sculls and finished ninth. Her wider career also included a world championship gold in the women’s quadruple sculls in 2003, as noted on the Australian Olympic Committee profile of fellow rower Kerry Hore, underlining Robinson’s standing in Australian rowing beyond the Olympic arena.
