Jennifer's Story
Born in 1964, Jennifer Danks represented Australia in sailing at two Olympic Games in the women’s 470 class. Danks was 27 when she competed at Barcelona 1992 and 31 when she returned at Atlanta 1996, building an Olympic career in a two-person dinghy class that demanded sharp teamwork and consistency across a regatta.
Danks finished ninth in Barcelona and improved to eighth in Atlanta, giving her two solid Olympic campaigns in an exacting class. That progress across two Games reflected her standing in Australian women’s sailing during the 1990s and gave her a respected place in the sport’s Olympic history.
