Jennifer's Story
Born in 1960, Jennifer Parlevliet represented Australia in equestrian jumping at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games. Parlevliet was 36 when she competed in a discipline where judgement, balance and trust between rider and horse are tested at every fence.
At Atlanta, Parlevliet finished 77th in the individual jumping competition and was part of the Australian team that placed 18th. While her Olympic appearance was limited to one Games, selection in both the individual and team events marked her as one of Australia’s leading jump riders of that period.
