John's Story

1880-1918

John (Jack) Barnett, from NSW, was versatile, workmanlike forward with the First Wallabies. He converted to rugby league and played with Newtown. His premature death in October 1918 saw many of his team-mates from the 1908 tour rally in support of his young family.
