Canoe Sprint Womens Kayak Four (WK4) 500m
Kate Barclay contested the women’s K4 500m at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games in flatwater kayaking. The South Australian paddler began kayaking in 1995 and made her international debut in 1998. Barclay competed at the 2001 World Championships in Poznan finishing seventh (K4 1000m) and ninth (K4 500m). At the Athens Games, the women’s crew progressed to the final where they eventually finished sixth.
