Kevin's Story

Kevin Bradshaw was a Victorian road cyclist known for his smooth pedalling style. He established himself among Australia’s leading riders after finishing runner-up in the Victorian road championship in both 1978 and 1979.

Bradshaw made his Olympic debut aged 23 at Moscow 1980. He joined Remo Sansonetti, David Scarfe and Michael Wilson in the 100-kilometre team time trial, with the Australian quartet finishing 11th in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 25.2 seconds.

He also started the 189-kilometre individual road race but did not finish the demanding Olympic circuit. Bradshaw remained a prominent domestic competitor, placing third in the 1982 Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic and winning two stages of the Tour of Victoria that year.
