Kevin's Story
Kevin Muscat is one of Australia's most well-known footballers and coaches. Born in Crawley, England, on 7 August 1973, he represented Australia internationally and was a member of the Australian men's football team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
Muscat played as a tough and uncompromising defender, beginning his professional career with Sunshine George Cross and South Melbourne before moving to Europe. At Atlanta 1996, he represented Australia in the men's football tournament as part of the Olyroos squad.
His career included successful spells with Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Rangers, Millwall and Melbourne Victory. He earned 46 senior international caps for Australia and later became a successful coach, winning domestic titles in Australia and Japan before taking charge of Shanghai Port in China.
