HAVE A GO AT OLYMPIC SPORTS
Lachlan's Story
Lachlan Hay was a member of the Australian Olympic team for Torino 2006, racing as a short track speed skating member of the 5000m relay team which finished in sixth place. Four years later, Hay competed at his second Olympic Winter Games, although getting there was quite a challenge. With just one Australian short track speed skating quota place for men, Hay was forced to skate off against his teammate and flatmate Jeremy Beck in December 2009. After completing a 1000m time trial and two 1000m head to head races Hay was victorious and earned his berth on the Olympic Team. In Vancouver he finished 26th in the men’s 1000m.
