Larry's Story
Born in Maryborough, Queensland, Larry Sengstock was a talented swimmer before concentrating on basketball as a teenager. He played junior basketball with Lang Park in Brisbane and made his Olympic debut aged 20 at Moscow 1980, where Australia finished eighth.

He completed his fourth consecutive Olympic campaign at Barcelona 1992, where Australia placed sixth. Sengstock represented the Boomers in 293 games, contested four world championships and played 18 seasons in the National Basketball League, winning five championships before later entering basketball administration.
