Lee's Story

Lee Michelle Naylor OAM is a former Australian 400-metre runner who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born in Shepparton, Victoria, on 26 January 1971, she was one of Australia's leading quarter-mile specialists throughout the 1990s.

At the Atlanta Olympics, Naylor reached the quarter-finals of the women's 400 metres and was also a member of Australia's 4 × 400 metre relay team. She repeated her quarter-final appearance in the 400 metres at the Sydney Olympics four years later.

Naylor enjoyed considerable international success beyond the Olympics. She won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 metre relay at the 1995 World Championships and a gold medal in the same event at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Her personal best of 51.35 seconds ranked her among Australia's top female 400-metre runners.
