Lee's Story

Lee Gary Trautsch is a former Australian boxer who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games in the light welterweight (63.5 kg) division. Born in Sydney on 28 January 1971, Trautsch emerged as one of Australia's leading amateur boxers during the mid-1990s.

Competing out of Newton PCYC, Trautsch earned Olympic selection through strong performances on the Australian amateur boxing circuit. At Atlanta 1996, he competed in the men's light welterweight competition, representing Australia against an elite international field.

His Olympic appearance was the highlight of a career that also included representation at the Commonwealth Games and national championships, contributing to Australia's proud boxing tradition.
