Lee's Story

Lee "Leo" Zahner is a former Australian beach volleyball player who represented Australia at two Olympic Games, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. Born in Brisbane on 13 March 1974, Zahner formed one of Australia's most successful beach volleyball partnerships with Julien Prosser.

At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Zahner and Prosser competed in the inaugural Olympic beach volleyball tournament, finishing equal ninth. The pair repeated that result at the Sydney Olympics four years later.

During a highly successful career, Zahner competed in 87 FIVB World Tour events, won multiple Australian national titles, and helped Australia achieve some of its best-ever results in men's beach volleyball. He was later inducted into the Volleyball Australia Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements.
