Bantamweight boxer Luke Boyd was 21 when he became an Olympian. Inspired by seeing Kostya Tzuyu fight when he was just four-years-old, Boyd had been boxing since the age of 11. Boyd won the U/54kg division at the 2007 and 2008 Oceania Championships before competing at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Boyd lost a tough bout in the opening round.
