Lynda's Story
Lynda Caroline Lehmann is an Australian sprint canoeist who represented Australia at two Olympic Games, Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996. Born in Karoonda, South Australia, on 14 November 1958, she was a key member of Australia's women's kayak program during the 1990s.
Lehmann competed in the women's K4 500-metre event at both Olympic Games. The Australian crew achieved eighth place in Barcelona and repeated that result in Atlanta, demonstrating consistent competitiveness at the highest international level.
Representing the Gold Coast Canoe and Kayak Club, Lehmann's longevity and commitment helped strengthen Australian women's canoe sprint racing during a period of increasing international competition.
