Matson Lawson was the surprise packet of the 2012 Australian Olympic Swimming Trials. The 19-year-old from Victoria's Mornington Peninsular stormed home in the 200m backstroke to finish second in 1:58.53 to qualify for his first junior or senior Australian Team.
Competing in his first Olympic Games in London he finished sixth in his heat to miss out on the semi-finals.
