Michael's Story

Michael Craig Joubert is a former Australian 400-metre runner who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Durban, South Africa, on 11 May 1970, he later represented Australia and became one of the nation's leading quarter-mile athletes.

At Atlanta 1996, Joubert competed in both the men's 400 metres and the 4 × 400 metre relay. His personal best of 45.62 seconds, recorded in 1995, placed him among Australia's top 400-metre runners during the decade.

Joubert also represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games and other major international competitions, contributing to Australia's relay and sprint programs throughout the 1990s.
