Myriam's Story
Born in France, Myriam Glez was inspired to take up synchronised swimming after watching the World Championships on TV at the age of six. Glez went on to become a 10-time French National Champion and finished fourth at the Sydney 2000 Olympics whilst competing for the French team. Glez moved to Australia for work in 2005 and gained Australian citizenship in December 2007. Representing Australia at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Glez placed 21st in the duet and seventh in the team event.
