Natalie's Story

Natalie Anne Harvey is a former Australian long-distance runner who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born on 19 January 1975, she specialized in the 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres.

At the Atlanta Olympics, Harvey competed in the women's 5,000 metres, becoming part of a strong generation of Australian distance runners. Four years later, she returned to Olympic competition in the 10,000 metres at Sydney 2000.

Harvey enjoyed a successful international career in cross-country and track competition, winning Australian national titles and representing Australia at World Championships and World Cross Country Championships. Her personal best of 15:22.59 for 5,000 metres ranked her among Australia's leading distance runners of her era.
