Natalie's Story

Natalie Hunter is a former Australian sprint canoeist who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Melbourne on 13 February 1967, she competed in kayak events and was a member of Australia's elite women's canoe sprint program.

At Atlanta 1996, Hunter competed in the women's K4 500-metre event alongside Lynda Lehmann, Shelley Oates and Yanda Nossiter. The Australian crew finished eighth in the Olympic final.

Representing the Ivanhoe Northcote Canoe Club and the Australian Institute of Sport, Hunter helped strengthen Australia's international presence in women's canoe sprint racing during the 1990s.
